Strategic Pastoral Advisory Council

The Strategic Pastoral Advisory Council (S-PAC) meets with Fr. Peter four times during the period of September to June to provide advice, suggestions, support and to discuss matters related to our Catholic community at the Newman Centre.

You are welcome to speak with any of the members should you have a concern, suggestion, compliment or an idea that you would like to have placed on the agenda for a future meeting. Feel free to e-mail your comments, questions or suggestions to patrick.douglas@newmantoronto.com

My name is Diane Lauziere. I hail from the Eastern Townships in Quebec and have lived in Toronto for 30 years.  I have been part of the Newman Community for 22 years. I have been part of the Choir for 15 years.  As well, I have been a Eucharistic Minister and served on the Coffee Ministry for 10 years. I have degrees in Philosophy, Theology and Pedagogy. I just completed 25 years of service for the Toronto District School Board and public education. I am also a member of the Third Dominican Order, the Dominican Laity. I find my joy to be at service to the church and I have found much fulfillment being at service to you in many ways.

I am in my final year of my undergraduate degree, studying biology and chemistry. God bless.Member, Student Campus Minister Representative

Hello, my name is Lisa Caballero and I am the Residence Coordinator representing the Student Campus Ministers on the 2015-2016 Pastoral Advisory Council. Recently, I completed my undergraduate degree with a double major in Biology and Chemistry. This fall, I am excited to begin the Master of Divinity program at Regis College. I am also excited to have the opportunity to serve a second year as a Student Campus Minister here at the Newman Centre. From the different ministry and mission experiences that I was blessed to be a part of, I have experienced first hand the joy that comes when the faith is intentionally shared with others.  I am excited to give back to the community by serving on PAC. God bless.
