Now Accepting Applications for Student Residency at Newman Centre

Summer Term: May — Aug. 2012  |  Fall/Winter Term: Sept. 2012 — Apr. 2013

Catholic university students wishing to live at Newman Centre are from both the undergraduate and graduate level, and study in a variety of career fields. They become involved in the exciting life-flow of the University Parish and Chaplaincy, offering their skills, talents, and faith as Student Campus Ministers, by assisting the Pastor in ensuring a welcoming community for all.  It is also a wonderful opportunity to deepen one's faith, live in community, and to make new friendships.

General Requirements:

  • Enrolled as a student at the University of Toronto or, in some exceptions, another Greater Toronto Area university
  • A member of the Catholic faith whose lifestyle is consistent its principles
  • Available, flexible, and willing to help in meeting the demands of community life and campus ministry
  • Demonstrate a sense of generosity in reaching out to help others
  • Suitability to live within a community setting

To apply for either the Summer Term, Fall/Winter Term, or both, please contact Fr. Michael Machacek at fr.michael@newmantoronto.com to make an appointment to obtain an application package.
