Anne and her husband, Mike, moved to Toronto from Philadelphia in 2003. Soon after arriving in the city, a friend directed them to the Newman Centre and they have been members ever since.
Anne has a masters degree in elementary education and was a kindergarten teacher in suburban Philadelphia. At Newman, she has served as a Eucharistic minister and volunteers with the Pathways to Education outreach program. Anne and Mike also serve as a part of Newman's marriage preparation team. This past September they began their second year of studies in the Archdiocese's deaconate formation program. They have two grown children: Sean, a graduate student in Boston and Katie, a recent university graduate living in San Francisco.
"From the first Mass we attended, I knew the Newman Centre would become our spiritual home. The incredible Sunday liturgies, the active outreach programs and most of all the warm and welcoming people make this a very special place. I am interested in serving on the Pastoral Advisory Council because I am anxious to get more involved with the parish and give back to this wonderful faith community that has truly enriched my life."
