The Pastorial Advisroy Council (PAC) meets with Fr. Pat at least once every two months to provide advice, suggestions, support and to discuss matters related to our Catholic community at the Newman Centre.

Louis Pauly first came to the Newman Centre in 1980, when he and his wife Caryl Clark moved to Toronto. Their involvement in the Newman community has been interrupted over the years by graduate study at Cornell and various career relocations. Ten years ago, they moved back into the neighbourhood with their daughter Tessa and son Reid. Lou has been a PAC (Pastoral Advisory Council) member since 1999 and a director of the Newman Foundation since 1998. He is Director of the Centre for International Studies, Canada Research Chair in Globalization and Governance, and Professor of Political Science at U of T.
