I am currently serving in my fourth consecutive year as
the Newman Centre's Director of Outreach Ministries.
I am
also a full-time Graduate Student in Theology at
the University of Saint Michael's College (the Roman
Catholic College within the University of Toronto
and a member college of the Toronto School of Theology).
I am in the second year of a Ph.D. program in the History of Christianity. My specialization is the history of Roman
Catholicism during the nineteenth- and twentieth-centuries.
Specifically, my research focuses on the history of
social Catholicism in North America (the United
States and Canada).
Before
this degree, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the
University of Richmond (Virginia) with an Honours
B.A. in History (1997-2001). Upon graduation, I
volunteered for 12 months as a Lay Assistant at
Capuchin Franciscan Youth & Family Ministries
in Garrison, New York (2001-2002). Afterwards, I
earned a M.A. in History from the University of
Toronto (2002-2003). Then, I taught Theology and
History at Holy Cross (Senior) High School in Flushing,
Queens, New York (2003-2004). Returning back to
Toronto, I completed a two-year M.A. in Theology
from the University of St. Michael's College (2004-2006).
